Our Supply Chain Technology division are looking for a Business Analyst to join their team in Glasgow to provide support primarily for the warehouse management side of the business by identifying missing functionality and gaps in current business processes and challenging current practices with innovative solutions. The BA will respond to requests from the business and identify potential risks and costs associated with change requests and liaise with Super Users to manage testing and training. Review and prioritise workload with stakeholders, prepare and maintain project/deployment plans and create/update the relevant documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify missing functionality or gaps
  • Challenge existing processes
  • Review and manage system defects including subsequent testing and rollout
  • Review change requests and analyse and challenge proposed solutions
  • Draft test plans and work with testers
  • Review test data, scenarios and results prior to business sign-off
  • Create/enhance change requests on behalf of HCP
  • Present development solutions to stakeholders identifying risks and costs
  • Conduct training sessions with end-users
  • Provide on-going support to System Coordinators and Super Users
  • Liaise with department heads identifying potential issues/risks
  • Manage developer and 3rd party support workload
  • Prepare User Documentation suitable for ISO and Audit requirements.
  • Participate in projects giving advice on system functionality and documented business processes
  • Create and manage project plans for large development projects.
  • Assist in any other business projects as required
  • Support all HCP technology initiatives
  • Familiarity with all systems/infrastructure within Supply Chain Technology to enable robust support model to be executed

Key Skills/Experience

  • Experience of risk analysis and cost implications of proposed internal and externally developed solutions
  • Understanding of how to interpret business needs and develop appropriate solutions
  • Familiarity of Project Management methodologies and the development of Project Plans
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal customers and external 3rd parties
  • Ability to present solutions to senior management
  • Ability to identify process gaps and challenge current processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Friendly, personable and knowledgeable
  • Attention to detail
  • Completes tasks with a sense of urgency and quality with little or no rework
