Our publishing for schools continues to deliver up-to-date and engaging student resources and exceptional teacher support to help schools tackle new initiatives and utilise the latest technology. We produce resources for UK and International curricula to support teachers and pupils at school and outside the classroom environment.

Our Editorial team are looking for an Editor with a proven interest in educational publishing who is able to deliver market-focused projects on time and budget, ensuring resources meet teachers' and students' needs in both the UK and abroad. The successful candidate will have at least two years of editorial experience.

As part of a highly successful and profitable team, you will organise and deliver print and digital projects by proactively managing internal and external contributors, including external project managers, reviewers, editors, proofreaders, designers, illustrators, and digital developers. You will work on a wide range of products across primary, secondary and international publishing to help deliver the department's strategic aims.


  • Take responsibility for assigned projects from handover of manuscript to handover of finished product
  • Clear planning, prioritisation and scheduling to deliver multi-component projects, both print and digital
  • Manage contributors and external freelancers effectively
  • Help to refine our standard processes, and to help us continuously revisit and update them
  • Manage and record plant spend v budget
  • Implement any feedback from publishing team from trialling material
  • Keep abreast of and share information about curriculum changes
  • Keep abreast of and share information about the latest use of technology in education
  • Support team as required and take on hands-on editorial tasks as appropriate
